Building a competition-ready robot in only six weeks is a very challenging, rewarding, and expensive task! The Fairview High School Robotics Team asks for the help of sponsoring companies and individuals to meet this challenge as we prepare for the 2010 competition season.
The Black Knights Robotics Team pays a fee of $5000 every year to register for the competition and to obtain the basic robot kit. Then we must spend somewhere between $1500 and $3000 to make the robot do the tasks required by the competition. The competition challenge changes dramatically every year.
You can contribute to the success of our team through monetary donations, or donations of your time as a professional engineering mentor for the team. Monetary donations are tax-deductible and will be acknowledged in the Fairview Newsletter (which has a circulation of about 1500 households per issue), and we will place your company logo on our team t-shirts. We also have donation levels that entitle you to even more benefits, including having your logo displayed prominently on our robot.

In addition to our sincere thanks for your contribution, here are our special gift-giving rewards:
Crowned Sponsors ($5000+ and/or multiple engineering mentors): In addition to the items listed below, a very large logo (approx. 6” x 6”) will be placed on our pit area during the competition (highly visible to all other competing teams, spectators, judges, and so on…); a logo will be placed on robots we fabricate in the next three years; if your company has a local site we can send representatives to give a presentation and demonstrate our robot at your facilities.
Excalibur Sponsors ($2500+ and/or an engineering mentor): In addition to the items listed below, a large logo (approx. 4” x 4”) will be placed on the back of our team t-shirts and we will send your company ten t-shirts; a logo will be placed on each of the robot’s sides (so it is visible from all angles); representatives from your company are invited to our celebratory dinner after the competition, and your logo will be permanently placed on our web site.
Round Table Sponsors ($1000+): In addition to the items listed below, one large logo (approx. 4” x 4”) will be placed on the front of our robot and the company name will be listed as an official partner with our team (the company name will be shown as part of our team name on the FIRST web site).
Champion Sponsors ($500+): In addition to the items listed below, one logo will be placed in a visible location on our robot.
Knight Sponsors ($250+): In addition to the items listed below, one logo will be placed on our web site’s home page.
Squire Sponsors ($100+): You will be invited to the robotics competition and your logo will be displayed on our web site for one year.
